The Edinburgh Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) scene is well established and city-wide. However, the heart of LGBT Edinburgh is around Broughton Street, in the east end of Edinburgh. Below we tell you about some of the best gay-friendly restaurants, bars, nightclubs and festivals in this fashionable and friendly gay quarter of Edinburgh
Cafes & Restaurants

Cafe Nom De Plume - The beef goulash is superb as is the veggie puff-pastry pies. This cosy venue is a great place to hang out for hours, trying out their bottled beers and feeling comforted by the food.
The Street - a landmark pub in Edinburgh, if you can see The Street then you know you are near all the action. Great bar with large floor to ceiling windows to help watch the world go by. There's often some great drinks promotions, and there's more entertainment downstairs.
Cafe Habana - this is the bar that all those getting dragged along to the theatre wish they were going to instead. From the outside you can just tell everyone inside is having great fun. Once you're in, things are as you expected. This place is always lively, entertaining and offers some great deals on drinks
Elbow Bar & Kitchen - further down past Broughton Street on East Claremount Street you'll find the Elbow Bar & kitchen. Inside the bar is uber stylish and very friendly.
