Chase is the western gateway to the recreational splendor of the Shuswap Region. We are located on the shores of Little Shuswap Lake in the mountainous eastern region of the South Thompson River Valley. Mount Scatchard and Mount Boysee dominate the southern horizon, while the northern side of the valley is defined by the Shuswap Highlands. This vibrant and progressive community with it’s small town charm has the amenities of a city amidst the spectacular setting of a lakeshore community. Boating, golfing, hiking, fishing, mountain biking, we have it all for the summer outdoor enthusiast. For those who enjoy winter activities, there is Sun Peaks Ski Resort for downhill and cross country skiing. Chase is a year round vacation paradise. The world renowned Sockeye Salmon Run is also home to Chase. Annually, millions of salmon make their way up the South Thompson River into the Shuswap Lake system towards their final destination, the Adams River. It is a spectacular sight to see this awesome display of salmon making their way to their original place of origin. The river is a vibrant spectacle of crimson, as these majestic creatures fulfill their role in maintaining the equilibrium of our natural ecosystem. It is truly a sight to behold!
